It's been hinted at for some time now, but finally Niantic Labs is officially introducing over 80 new Pokémon from Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver videogames into Pokémon Go.
These new Pokémon include Chikorita, Cyandaquil and Totodile, amongst many, many others, so if you like to collect, you'll be in for a treat.
Additionally, various Pokémon will also have new evolutions when used with some special Evolution items that you collect at PokéStops.
According to Niantic's official Pokémon Go blog, the behaviour of Pokémon when you encounter one is also going to change slightly – they will react in new ways as you're trying to catch them and the item carousel will also be tweaked to allow you to select Berries and Poké Balls directly from the encounter screen.
Talking about Berries, the game will also introduce two new Berries into the mix when you spin the disc at the PokéStop – Nanab Berries and Pinap Berries.
The Nanab Berry will slow the movements of Pokémon and make it easier to catch, while the Pinap Berry will double the amount of Candy you get if your next ball following the Berry successfully bags the Pokémon.
That's not all – the game will also introduce new Avatars and new wardrobe items to dress your Avatar in.
If you're still playing Pokémon Go, the new update should prove interesting, since this update introduces some major changes to the game.
