Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 9) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday showed his own tattoo—a rose on his right arm—in the wake of Sen. Antonio Trillanes’ challenge for his son, Davao Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, to show a tattoo of a Chinese drug syndicate.
Speaking to the media after his speech before soldiers at Camp Evangelista Station Hospital in Cagayan de Oro City, Duterte took off his jacket and rolled up his sleeve to show the mark.
The President said that his other children, Davao City Mayor Sara Carpio and Sebastian, also have tattoos.
During the Senate investigation on the P6.4-billion shabu shipment from China, Trillanes accused the eldest of the Duterte siblings of being a member of the Chinese drug triad.
Trillanes said based on intelligence information given to him by a foreign country, a tattoo of a dragon with “sacred digits” will prove Paolo Duterte’s membership in the triad.
Vice Mayor Duterte admitted he has a tattoo on his back, but refused to show it, invoking his right to privacy.
