Kim Hyun Joong hopes to transition from pretty boy to a real man through ‘Inspiring Generation’

The press conference for upcoming KBS 2TV Wed-Thu drama ‘Inspiring Generation’ was held recently on December 2nd at Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, and saw the attendance of director Kim Jung Kyu and main cast members like Kim Hyun Joong, Lim Soo Hyang, Jin Se Yeon, and Kim Kap Soo.

Kim Hyun Joong who plays the lead role of Shin Jung Tae said, “It’s been a long time since I filmed, so I will give it my best shot. I will try to film an excellent drama with many excellent veterans. Shin Jung Tae is someone who has suffered a lot of hurt, and is very lonely because of his relationship with his father at a young age. But he has very rich emotions.”

When asked for his preparation work for his action scenes, Kim Hyun Joong answered, “I have a pretty boy image for ‘Boys Over Flowers’, but I will be showing my real manly side through ‘Inspiring Generation’. I have trained a lot for a variety of action scenes. There will be many highlights to look out for in the drama, including action scenes and the throwback to the 1930s setting.”

‘Inspiring Generation’ is set in the 1930s of Shanghai, China, and depicts the friendships, love, and patriotism of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese triads. The drama will take over from ‘Bel Ami’, and begin broadcast in January 2014.
