MANILA – Google's mission to make information accessible and useful to more people is what drives its country manager for the Philippines, Ken Lingan.
Google hired its Filipino staff based on their commitment to the internet giant's mission, not just for their technical skills, Lingan tells, ANC's The Boss.
"One of the things that has drawn me to this company is it has an amazing mission, all about organizing the world’s information and make it universally useful and accessible. That mission is completely relevant to a country like the Philippines," he says.
"What would drive you day in and day out is that alignment of purpose that you have with the company that you’re working for or else, you won’t have the motivation to go every single day," he says.
