Volvo has released preview photos of the new Volvo Concept XC Coupe, which will make its official debut at Detroit Motor Show in January. The Concept XC coupe is the second of three concept cars designed by Volvo’s new design chief, Thomas Ingenlath. The new model likely hints at future design plan of the brand.
The three photos of the Volvo XC Coupe Concept provide a teaser of its design elements. With aggressive bumper, T-shaped headlights and upfront grille, the front appears very similar to Volvo’s Concept Coupé, which was unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show earlier this year. At the rear it has slim LED backlights.
Volvo has also posted a video of the car on its Youtube channel that reveals that the XC Coupé is a three-door SUV with rear lights that have a similar shape to the ones on the current Volvo XC90 and Volvo XC60 models. More specifically, the Concept XC Coupé previews the exterior design of the new XC90, which is expected to hit the scene later in 2014.
However, Volvo has not revealed any technical specification of the new Volvo Concept XC coupe. More details of the XC Coupé are expected to be revealed nearer it’s unveiling.
