The House of Representatives will resume plenary debates on the proposed 2018 budget on Tuesday, despite suspension of government work because of tropical depression “Maring.”
In a text message to reporters, House Secretary General Cesar Strait Pareja said the House will try to finish its deliberations on the proposed P3.767 trillion national budget.
This was approved by Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez and relayed by majority leader Rudy Fariñas, Pareja said.
“Per ML Fariñas, as approved by the Speaker, we have work today. We will continue with deliberations on the 2018 Budget,” Pareja said.
Meanwhile, its Senate counterpart suspended work due to Maring, which brought heavy rain and flooding over Metro Manila and parts of Luzon.
