After the box-office success of the indie movie "Kita Kita," expect to see more of Marquez on the big screen.
First up is the Dennis Padilla-directed comedy, "The Barker (Don't Know What to Do)," which will be shown this month.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News at the Star Magic Ball last Saturday, Marquez announced that aside from the movie with Adarna, he is also set to shoot a film with Zanjoy Marudo.
"Separate po 'yon, 'yung kay Ellen at 'yung sa amin ni Z (Marudo)," Marquez said.
The comedian said he is excited to work with Marudo, who is nominated in the 2017 International Emmy Awards for his portrayal of a single father who raised his children inside a cave after a storm ravaged their home in "Maalaala Mo Kaya."
"Sobrang congrats sa kanya, kay Z, kaibigan ko 'yan. Sobrang proud ako sa kanya at deserve niya yung ganoon," Marquez said.
