Dennis Uy's Phoenix Petroleum, China's CNOOC get nod for LNG terminal

The Department of Energy grants Tanglawan Philippines LNG Incorporated the notice to proceed to build a liquefied natural gas terminal in Batangas

The joint venture of Dennis Uy's Phoenix Petroleum and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) was given the green light to establish a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Batangas.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Phoenix Petroleum said the Department of Energy (DOE) granted Tanglawan Philippines LNG Incorporated the notice to proceed to build the facility, to support the energy demand in Luzon.

The company also said the facility would produce energy that will be clean, low-cost, and environment-friendly.
