This was the advice given by two Bb. Pilipinas queens to those who aspire to become beauty title holders.
Bb. Pilipinas Supranational Jehza Huelar said studies should be their number one priority because a college degree can serve as a fallback no matter what happens after the pageant.
Huelar, who has a degree in finance from Ateneo de Davao University, said the “sky is the limit” for anyone who has credentials.
Meanwhile, Bb. Pilipinas Globe Michele Gumabao said the youth should “love themselves and know their worth.”
She said that loving oneself “would result to greater things in life” and “everyone deserves to have a bright future.”
“So, just really know what you deserve and know what you want. All kids are special, all of us are special, and we all deserve to have a big and bright future,” she added.
Huelar and Gumabao were the judges at a floral headdress competition for girls aged 5 to 15 held at Farmers’ Garden.
Though she did not join beauty pageants at a young age, she said she was happy to see young girls join competitions like this because she sees potential in them.
