MANILA -- AirAsia said it would shift several international flights to Terminal 2 of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport starting July 1.
These include flights from Cebu to Hangzhou, Incheon, Kuala Lumpur, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Singapore and Taipei, AirAsia said on its official Facebook page.
The resort-themed passenger terminal built by Filipino-Indian consortium GMR-Megawide was inaugurated last June 7. Officials hope to grow annual passengers to 12.5 million.
The country's largest carrier, Cebu Pacific, will increase flights from Cebu by as much as 20 percent next year, said its president, Lance Gokongwei.
